Summary:
A standing bronze figure of a Civil War soldier dressed in an overcoat, his proper right hand resting on the muzzle of a gun that he holds vertically by his proper right side. The sculpture rests atop a tall square base adorned with bronze inscription plaques on all four sides. A low rail fence surrounds the sculpture.
