Summary:
The sculpture depicts Lincoln dressed in a long coat, buttoned vest, and bow tie. He gazes out into the distance and steps forward slightly with his proper left foot. Lincoln stands atop a granite base adorned on the front left corner with a bronze allegorical female figure representing Liberty. With her proper right hand she inscribes the base with the famous words from Lincoln's second inaugural address, "with malice towards none."
