Summary:
On each side of the Central Street Bridge, the concrete piers in the Pawtucket Canal are topped with a narrow granite platform on which stands a post and lintel construction. The sculptures on each side of the canal are made with three vertical columns of granite topped by two horizontal blocks. Adjacent to the vertical columns are three horizontal blocks lined up end to end along the top of the platform. Each piece of granite is rough hewn on one side and smooth on all of the other sides.
