Summary:
Christopher Columbus stands on a tall base installed in the middle of a fountain basin. Columbus' arms are crossed in front of himself and he grasp his proper right forearm with his proper left hand. His cape swirls around him. Three sides of the base are carved in deep relief with images of Columbus' three ships, the Santa Maria, Nina and Pinta, amidst stylized waves.
