Summary:
Snow-covered winter landscape depicting a large group of men holding rifles in the foreground waiting their turn as a young man kneeling in front steadies his rifle on a sawhorse and aims out across a field. Beside him a man looks across the field using a telescope, and behind him a man is seated atop a barrel next to a dead turkey, while other men load their rifles. To the far right a man is seated on his horse while another man is seated in a horse-drawn sleigh, their attention directed out across the field. In the left foreground a dog steps up to investigate a dead turkey lying in the snow. In the far distance there is a snow-covered farmhouse.
