Summary:
Two females are seated in the artist's studio. At right is the artist's wife, Alice Gerson Chase, dressed in yellow, and at left is an unidentified caller who is dressed in a white dress and white hat and is holding an umbrella. A mirror at right reflects the unseen side of the studio and is surrounded by frames paintings. A cane chair is in the right corner and a draped bench with pillows and cushions spans the length of the back wall.
