Summary:
The central elements are directly cast Monstera leaves. The open blue fabricated forms which run throughout the sculpture refer to bathymetric mapping. The pink forms refer to the Fayum delta region of Egypt, which the artist visited in 1981. All of these elements represent geographic features, as on a map.
