Summary:
General Lawton is represented looking out over a battlefield dressed in the pith helmet and khaki military uniform worn during the his service in the Philippines. With his proper left hand he holds a scabbard that hangs on his proper left side. At his feet is a cactus bush, symbolic of his time spend in the Philippines. The sculpture rests atop a tall square base adorned with a leaf border.
