Summary:
River scene depicting three boatmen on flat-bottom boat traveling down the Missouri River, the boat piled high with chopped wooden logs. Two of the men are casually seated at one end of the boat, their attention directed out toward the viewer, one seated on the log pile, and one seated on a wooden plank, his arms wrapped around his bent right leg. In the back of the boat, the third figure leans over to scoop up a shovelful of wood chips.
