Summary:
Standing portrait of Witherspoon dressed in a long jacket, buttoned vest, ruffle-necked shirt, knee britches, stocking, and shoes with large buckles. A long cape hangs down his back and his draped over his bent proper left arm. In his proper left hand he holds a scroll. His proper right arm is extended and his hand is open, palm facing up. His hair is long and he stare off to his proper right.
