In Sevilla, Archivo General de Indias. Aud. de Mexico 367 (60-4-32). Examples of a great number of such letters to be found there, with but slight variants. What might be called "form letters" written by the ecclesiastics for the Indians to sign.
Summary:
Directed to the King of Spain asking they be sent more Franciscan friars to teach them, and asking especially for the return of Bishop Landa. Signed by many caciques.
