In Sevilla, Archivo General de Indias. Aud. de Mexico 367 (60-4-32). Examples of a great number of such letters to be found there, with but slight variants. What might be called "form letters" written by the ecclesiastics for the Indians to sign.
Directed to the King of Spain asking they be sent more Franciscan friars to teach them, and asking especially for the return of Bishop Landa. Signed by many caciques.
