Taken June 14, 1962, at American Society of Mammalogists' annual meeting held at Middlebury College, Middbury, Vermont. Viola Schantz, who is in the front row, was honored for her retirement from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and her 23 years as treasurer of the society.
