Summary:
The biologist Kristine Elisabeth Heuch Bonnevie (1872-1948) was the first female member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and, in 1912, the first woman to be appointed as a university professor in Norway. This photograph was taken in Geneva, Switzerland, where Dr. Bonnevie was attending a meeting of the International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation.
