Summary:
These records document the Smithsonian Institution's activities with the United Nations Education Science and Cultural Organization concerning the preservation of endangered historical and cultural ruins such as Moenjodaro (Pakistan), Carthage (Libya), and the Abu Nidal Egyptian temples (Philae Project, Nubian Campaign); the study of the environment (Tigris-Euphrates, Arid Lands), and a study of mosques.
