Consists of records documenting the development of the National Zoological Park's collection management policy and recordkeeping systems and compliance with the collection management policies of the Smithsonian Institution during the tenure of Judith Block, Registrar, 1977- . Materials include correspondence; memoranda; reports; statistics; lists; animal inventories and working papers for annual reports; records pertaining to the computerization of animal records, including files on the ISIS system and SELGEM; and animal diets for various species in the Zoo collection, primarily for mammals.
