Guide to the Smithsonian Archives, 1996
Annals of the Smithsonian Institution, 1989-1994
In 1977 the Division of Domestic Life was established by combining the domestic life artifacts from the Divisions of Costume and Furnishings and Preindustrial Cultural History. Rodris C. Roth was made Curator of the new Division, and Anne Castrodale Golovin became Associate Curator and, in 1979, a Curator. In 1984 Barbara Clark Smith joined the staff as an Assistant Curator and became a Curator, 1985. After several reorganizations the functions of the Division appear to have been located within the Department of Social and Cultural History about 1994.
