Summary:

Consists of biographical materials collected by Thomas R. Harney, Science Information Officer in the News Bureau of the Office of Public Affairs, 1969-1976; Writer-Editor at the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH),1976-1990; and Public Information Officer, 1990-1994. Materials primarily concern the professional staff of NMNH, including press releases,news clippings, publications, photographs, and notes from interviews conducted by Harney. Also included is a small amount of material concerning staff of other Smithsonian bureaus and offices.
