"Unknown. (Oil, W. 30 x 36.) The Dead Christ, sustained by Joseph of Arimathea. The design is by Andrea del Sarto, and his painting is lost. This picture comes close to him. If not his, by one of his best pupils; perhaps Puligo." [P. 21.]
