"Size 28 inches by 20 inches. The distant hill on the left shows the location of the camp ground during the terrible winter of 1778. Immediately to the centre of the middle distance, is seen the house occupied by gen. washington and his family during the same memorable period. It was in the deep shades of the adjoining forest on the right, where the 'father of his country' was accidentally discovered at prayer." [P. 3; price noted in contemporary hand.
