"Emigrants Attacked by Indians," by Charles Wimar. The property of Mrs. Edgar Miller. One of the very best of this lamented artist's pictures. It is full of fine coloring and accurate detail, while that attention to truth in costume and all accessories, for which he is famous, is everywhere manifest. In this latter respect Wimar's pictures are invaluable, and he will probably never have a successor. [P. 66; exhibited under heading: "Water Colors."]
