Of the United States Navy, born in Boston on February 1st, 1780. He resigned his commission in the navy and was appointed charge d'affaires to Constantinople; he was subsequently sent out as minister to the Porte, and there died March 28, 1843. His remains were brought to this country and interred in the city of Philadelphia. [P. 17.]
