This painting is in every respect a superb one. It must be seen to be appreciated. The brilliancy of the coloring, perfectly preserved--the exquisite drawing--the perfection of the expression in the several faces, are so superior, that the common phrases of praise cannot reach its perfection. The mind views such a creation of genius with astonishment. [P. 10.]
