Description:
This large, recently described orchid comes from one of the most fertile growing regions of China, which had previously been heavily explored by European botanists and collectors. However, these past collectors largely looked for plants growing at higher altitudes, leaving this orchid unknown outside the region until recently. C. sichuanicum is yet another sign that there is still so much to learn about the natural world.
