Range:
Guatemala to Peru
Habitat:
Lower montane forests; 985-5905ft (300-1800m)
Description:
This medium sized orchid has a very bumpy callus on its lip that varies in length. Among all the collections of this L. amoena studied, none have been observed fruiting. It is thought that this may mean that successful pollination is rare in this species.
