Description:
The panes of six stamps featuring artwork by Boris Groh were issued April 12, 2022. The "F" denominated stamps are for domestic letters weighing up to 50 grams with registry service included, and carry the motto "Death to the Enemies" in the selvage. "W" denominated stamps are for international letters up to 50 grams sent by surface mail and carry the motto "Glory to Ukraine" in the selvage. Two days later, the guided missile cruiser pictured on the stamps, Moskva, was sunk in the Black Sea by Ukrainian missile strike with an unknown number of casualties, becoming the largest Russian ship lost since World War II. The pane of three stamps and three labels, with the ship's name, date of sinking, and the word "DONE" added to the design, was released later on May 23.
