This is the saddle used by Charlie Chamberlain as driver for Star Route contractor. He walked with the mule train and rode the lead mule from Supai, Arizona in the Havasupai Indian Reservation in Havasu Canyon, Grand Canyon via the trail to Hualapai Hilltop. From Hualapai Hilltop, the mail was picked up by USPS truck for transit to Peach Springs Post Office, Peach Springs, Arizona. The saddle was last used in 2015 when the mail route had been in operation for over a hundred years.
