The Postal Service issued the 37-cent Spring Flowers stamps in four designs. The stamps were produced as a pressure-sensitive adhesive, double-sided convertible booklet of twenty. An iris, hyacinth, daffodil, and tulip are the spring flowers painted by artist Pullman. Mainstays in gardens coast to coast, these four flowers are among the earliest to appear each spring.
Ashton-Potter (USA), Ltd., printed 790 million stamps (39.5 million booklets) in the offset process.
