The Postal Service issued the 37-cent Spring Flowers stamps in four designs. The stamps were produced as a pressure-sensitive adhesive, double-sided convertible booklet of twenty. The First-Day-of-Issue ceremony was held on March 15, 2005, in Chicago, Illinois. The stamps were designed by Derry Noyes of Washington, DC, and illustrated by Christopher Pullman, Cambridge.
An iris, hyacinth, daffodil, and tulip are the spring flowers painted by artist Pullman. Mainstays in gardens coast to coast, these four flowers are among the earliest to appear each spring.
