Description:
Postcard created from detachable shirt cuff. US stamp Scott 319, two-cent George Washington, affixed. Addressed to Mr. Fred N. Hahn, 719 W. Jefferson Street, Springfield, IL. Sent by "W.E.S." The "postcard" requred the more expensive first-class letter rate, two-cents, because it exceeded the maximum allowable dimensions (3 1/4" x 5 1/2") for postcards.
