Description:
This is a United States Post Office Department winter dress uniform jacket.
The uniform is a double-breasted, eight-button full-length jacket with shoulder "saddle patch" appliques; wide collar lapels; straight sleeves; double inset hip pockets on the right front panel; inset breast and hip pockets on proper left front panel; maroon piping around the collar; front closure edges and pockets; 1/2 inch wide ribbed maroon ribbon on outside panels of sleeves about the wrist buttons (two wrist buttons); lined with insulated, quilted liner and ribbed, knitted cuffs; USPOD patch is sewn to the upper left sleeve.
