The Postal Service issued a Shuttle Landing With Parachute $3.20 definitive priority mail stamp on November 9, 1998, in Washington, DC.
Designed by Phil Jordan of Falls Church, Virginia, the stamp is based on a photography taken by NASA.
The Banknote Corporation of America printed 245 million stamps in the offset process.
