Description:
Five 29-cent Olympic Track and Field commemorative stamps were issued on July 12, 1991, in Los Angeles, California. The stamp, depicting five Olympic events -- the pole vault, discus throw, sprint, javelin throw, and hurdles --were designed by computer sports artist Joni Carter of Los Angeles.
Printed on the photogravure press by the American Bank Note Company, the stamps were issued in panes with forty stamps.
