Description:
This reproduction handstamp is not original. It has 'PATOKA/U.S.S/JUL/4/1925/P.M.' on circular townmark and 'GOVERNERS' CONFERENCE' on killer bar. Marked on wooden base is: 'STAMP WORKS / AUBURN, NEBR.'
USS Patoka was a fleet oiler for US Navy airships including ZR1 Shenandoah, but this replica was not used on the ship.
It is unknown when the reprodcution was made (mid twentieth century?) or why (demonstration purposes or creating fakes?).
