Description:
The 15-cent Letter Writing regular stamps were first placed on sale at Washington, DC, on February 25, 1980. The three-pair set of postage stamps, focusing on the importance of letter writing, were issued during National Letter Writing Week.
USPS Graphics and Design Division, with Randall McDougall executing the finished work, developed the design concept. The stamps were issued in sheets of sixty.
