Post Office Department telegram is addressed to Mr. Henry Woodhouse of the Aero Club of America, New York, New York. In the telegram Captain Benjamin Lipsner says he feels positive that the maps provided by the club to the pilots "have been taken care of.” He asks Mr. Woodhouse to please mail his copy immediately in care of postmaster of Chicago. Lipsner sends good luck and many thanks for assistance.
Henry Woodhouse, founder of the aeronautical journals “Flying” and “Aerial Age Weekly” and office of the Aero Club of America, was a longtime booster of airmail. He addressed a letter to the editor of The New York Times that was one of the special letters carried by pilot Max Miller on his return trip from Chicago on the famous Chicago to New York pathfinder trip.
