This Migratory Bird Treaty Issue stamp commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act between the United States and Canada that was enacted to protect bird from extinction. The statute makes it unlawful without a waiver to hunt, capture, kill or sell birds. The stamp features an image of a pair of migratory birds and the border of the United States and Canada.
