This Prominent Americans Issue stamp depicts Lucy Stone, an American orator, abolitionist and suffragist. She wrote, and spoke, extensively about women’s rights. She helped organize the first National Women’s Rights Convention and was the co-founder of the American Woman Suffrage Association.
