This Girls Scouts Issue stamp commemorates the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts of America. The Scout Movement began in the United Kingdom, to promote physical, mental and spiritual development in young people. Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts of America in Savannah, Georgia in 1912. The stamp features an image of a Senior Girl Scout in front of the United States Flag.
