This Grand Coulee Dam Issue stamp celebrates fifty years of federal cooperation in developing the resources of rivers and streams in the West. The stamp features the spillway of the Grand Coulee Dam, a gravity dam located on the Columbia River in Washington State. It is the largest electric power-producing facility in the United States and one of the largest concrete structures in the world.
