Postcard produced in France for use by AEF service members. World War I. Front has a pre-printed form with messages that the sender was to select per the instructions: "Nothing is to be written on this side except the dates and signature of the sender. Sentences not required may be crossed out. If anything else is added the post card will be destroyed." The form is signed by the sender C. C. Fisher. The opposite side is addressed to Mrs. A. W. Fisher, Knoxville, Tennessee. Franked soldier's mail. Postmark November 12, 1918 at APO 799. Censor mark with signature.
The lines not crossed out by the sender created the message: I am quite well. Letter follows at first opportunity. I have received no letter from you. [Signed and dated:] C.C. Fisher, 11-10-18
