Mounted Baleen and Sperm Whale Skeletons - Compiled by T.W. French - Last updated 2012: Bar Harbor Whale Museum, Bar Harbor, Maine – The skeleton of a 22 ft Minke Whale that drowned in lobster gear near South Harpswell, ME in April 1987 is suspended from the ceiling. The shape of the live whale is outlined and a replica of the tail fluke is attached. Skeletons of a beaked whale and a White-sided Dolphin are also suspended.
