A correction has been completed for the collection date (year) for field work done by John K. Howard in the Pacific and Indian Oceans from November 1952 – July 1953. Many dates in Collection Events were erroneously entered in the ledger as 1952 when the correct year was 1953 and corrections were made in April 2020. The ledger for this record, USNM 177152, states it was collected between January 6 – February 1, 1953 in New South Wales, Australia but according to the field notes of John K. Howard, he was actually in New Zealand in January and didn't arrive in Australia until after February 4th, 1953. So, the collection information in the ledger is incorrect with the place or the dates. Most likely, the date is wrong because he was still in New Zealand until February 4th, 1953 and collection date for this record has been changed to February 4 – March 11, 1953.
