Alcock sent this specimen to the usnm where it was received on 14 feb 1895, the year after his description of the species. as he did not specifically designate a type, this specimen could have been among the type series and is tentatively considered a syntype. jtw, 1 may 1987. this specimen was originally cataloged at the indian museum, calcutta as ZSI F-13620.
