Collection Date:

Notes:
In ledger, station is given as Albatross D. 5058, however, associated locality text (15 Oct 1906, 35 02 25 N 138 46 55 E) matches that of station D. 6068. Specimen labels in jar only give locality as "D. 5058". No other data is given on labels. Published type locality is given as "D. 5058, Suruga Gulf, Japan in 575 fathoms." Depth data matches known depth of station D. 5058, not D. 6068. It is probable that this mismatch of data is a data entry transcription error. Locality information for this record has been updated to proofed D. 5058 station data.
