Reproduction mount (model) of a masked palm civet, composed of two common brushtail possum skins over an altered 'Australian Possum' form from McKenzie. Made for NMNH Outbreak exhibit 'wet market' scene. Does not contain any authentic P. larvata parts. Per an email from Paul Rhymer (artist), the skins were collected in New Zealand by Roger Martin. Other materials used include latex caulk adhesive/Clairol basic white powder hair lightening products/powdered wood dye and ethanol alcohol, applied with an airbrush.
