The crania of this specimen and USNM 84021 (the type of Rhogeessa tumida H. Allen, 1866) were mismatched, so the correct cranium for USNM 37329 is numbered 84021, fide LaVal (1973:29). This skull is stored in the type collection with USNM 84021. The fluid body for this specimen, USNM 7842, is lost (or possibly at ANSP).
