A DNA extraction was processed for this tissue, but based on the resulting COI sequence it was determined that a subsampling offset error occurred. The DNA extraction was discarded, but the tissue retained. It is unclear whether the sampling error occurred in the field, thus affecting archival tissue, or if the error was restricted to secondary sampling for the digestion plates, limiting the problem to the DNA extract. Follow-up analysis on tissues from MARQ-221 through MARQ-262 has yet to be conducted, so potential users should be informed of the issue prior to distribution of tissue aliquots from this range.
