# NASA data for LEW 87026 Weathering: A Fracturing: A Fs: 32-50 mol %
About 70% of this eucrite is covered with a dull black fusion crust. The interior is light gray and fine-grained with small (<1 mm) gray and white inclusions.
The section shows a microbreccia of pale brown pyroxene and colorless plagioclase grains, up to 1.8 mm across, in a comminuted groundmass of these minerals; a few small lithic clasts are present. Most of the pyroxene is pigeonite averaging Wo₇Fs₄₇, but a little augite, Wo₃₆Fs₃₂, is present, and intermediate compositions were measured on some spots. Plagioclase composition is An₈₇₋₉₃. The meteorite is a brecciated eucrite, probably monomict.
