Notes:
This specimen was filed in the collection as a Syntype of Reniera tubifera George & Wilson, 1919. That type designation cannot be correct, since the specimen was collected in 1941, after the species was described. Labels indicate this lot was "designated Type by Harry W. Wells (1959)". This specimen is mentioned in Wells, et al. 1960, but it is not referred to as a tyoe or designated as a Neotype. De Weerdt, 2000 proposes to designate this specimen as a Lectotype of Reniera tubifera George & Wilson, 1919, but since this specimen was not part of the original material used to descriibe the species, it cannot be designated as a Lectotype. This lot has no valid type status.
