White precipitate/growth present in jar, resembling water mold. Possibly crystal growth from high sulfide or other mineral content? Similar conditions in roughly 35 bivalve lots from the Vrijenhoek collection. Tested alcohol concentration in five of them and found it to be over 70%. Kris Walz, who processed the collection from freezers into ethanol, said in email correspondence that these growths were not present at the time of her processing.
